The Community Event Center from AARP hosts FREE interactive online events and classes designed for learning, self improvement, and fun. In addition to virtual events, Movies for Grownups helps fight ageism in the entertainment industry by encouraging films that resonate with older audiences.

    Event Description: Join AARP Colorado for a six-week virtual low-impact kickboxing class in the comfort of your own home. Certified fitness instructor Krista Bonino will lead the one-hour class Tuesday mornings through April 15. Please note that there will be a one-week break the week of March 17 for Spring Break.
    This kickboxing class is designed to boost your fitness, enhance your mental stamina and leave you feeling empowered. Krista will guide us in low-impact cardio workouts that combine the best of martial arts, strength training and brain-boosting exercises, all important to healthy aging.

    In this session, we’ll make Roasted Zucchini Fries, baked to perfection and guilt-free! These perfectly seasoned fries will be your new favorite snack or side. If you’d like to cook along, you can download a list of ingredients to have on hand.

  • Garden Planning for a Bountiful Harvest: Tips and Strategies

    Tips and techniques for increasing your harvest, reducing pest pressure and minimizing weeds will also be mentioned.
