  • What’s for Dinner Cooking Skills Series: Mastering Pan-Searing

    Event Description: In this interactive series, we’ll demonstrate five foundational cooking skills to help answer the most important question of the day: “What’s for dinner?”

    Using everyday ingredients and basic kitchen tools, you’ll learn to create meals that save time and money while delighting your taste buds.

    In Week 3: Pan Searing, chef Sandra Lewis will demonstrate how to pan-sear to create restaurant-quality meals quickly and affordably.

    You’ll learn:

    • The proper technique for pan-searing protein 
    • How to use kosher salt to properly season your food 
    • The best oils to use when pan-searing 
    • The formula for a great marinade using what you have on hand in your pantry 

    If you’d like to cook along, you can download a list of ingredients and equipment to have on hand.
